About Us

Providing custom, quality pole barns in Central Ohio since 2012.

It all started in 2012 when Phil Stoltzfus saw a need for quality pole barn construction in the Central Ohio region.

While there were plenty of options for mini-barn storage and the standard pole barn, Phil noticed the need for custom pole barns that were designed and built to meet the customer's specific needs and backed with great customer service.

In 2021, Phil's son-in-law, Raphael, took over Hilltop Post Buildings. Even though the business has changed hands, Phil still provides general oversight and advice, and Raphael brings a deep desire for integrity and "doing what we say we will do" to the local pole barn industry.

Why our structures are built to last:

26-Gauge Steel

Most builders use 29-gauge steel because it's cheaper. We use 26-gauge because it's stronger, holds up better to Ohio weather, and still looks sharp years later. It's a small difference that adds up to a lot over the life of a building.

50-Year Posts

Our posts aren't standard lumber. They're premium treated posts rated to last 50 years in ground contact. That's the backbone of your building — and we don't cheap out on it.

Post Protection Systems Available

We also offer optional post protection systems that wrap and seal the posts at the ground line — where moisture and rot do the most damage. It's one of the smartest upgrades you can add to a new building. Ask us about this when we put your proposal together.
